Gwinnett County Public Schools is the largest school system in Georgia. Over the years its programs, schools, leaders, educators and students have earned numerous awards, championships and honors. There are also many private schools in Gwinnett County to choose from as well. In addition to Georgia Gwinnett College and Gwinnett Technical College, The University of Georgia, Georgia Tech and Georgia State University are all nearby. We also have the HOPE scholarship program which helps pay college tuition for residents who maintain a certain GPA.

Beautiful Nature

There are dozens of area parks to explore nature. Many have walking trails, dog parks, playgrounds, sports fields, picnic areas, etc. Gwinnett County has an abundance of “green” – there are trees and plants everywhere! There’s also locally grown fruit and vegetables available at the many farmer’s markets. Want to pick your own? There are strawberry and blueberry farms in Gwinnett County also.

Sports Lovers Dream

The Gwinnett County Stripers, our minor league baseball team, play at Cool Ray Field in Lawrenceville. They are the Triple A team of the Atlanta Braves. The Atlanta Gladiators are our AA professional hockey team and they play their home games at Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth. There are tons of options available for children to play their favorite sports as well. Remember, it’s just a short drive to watch the Falcons, Hawks, Braves or Atlanta United play also!
